When Trevor of 15 years old, started to develop some health complications. His parents, Kimberly and Philip Sullivan, thought that maybe it was a common cold, but his condition continued to worsen each and every day that passed by. When they took him to the hospital, the doctors diagnosed him with cardiomyopathy, and the only solution was to have a heart transplant.
With 14 years Trevor was taken to C.S. Motts Children’s Hospital at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. After he was found to be having cardiomyopathy, he was listed to be a patient who needed a heart transplant but had to wait for nine months for it to happen. Luckily, the operation was a success and his dad Phillip was there to record the clip below when his son awoke after the long heart transplant.
Confessing to ABC News, Trevor said that the clip really touched him a lot and he hoped that all the world would have a look at it as it is a source of change. He continued to say that the clip would motivate people to donate their organs to the needy. He finished by saying that he is very okay and that he could engage in an activity that he formerly never did due to his condition.
